The Upper Ammonoosuc River is a left tributary of the Connecticut River in the U.S. state of New Hampshire.

The Upper Ammonoosuc River has its origin in the small mountain lake Pond of Safety in the White Mountains about 10 kilometers west of Gorham. The river flows in a northerly direction. At the upper reaches is the small reservoir Godfrey Pond. A short distance downstream flows of the Upper Ammonoosuc River West Branch in the river.
