Upper Xiajiadian culture

The Xiajiadian - site is an archaeological site in northern China, named after the Bronze Age cultures. It is located in Chifeng (赤峰 市), Inner Mongolia, and was excavated in 1960.

The cultures of the lower and the upper layer of Xiajiadian ( Xiajiadian shàngcéng Wenhua夏 家店 上层 文化Xiajiadian Culture, upper stratum or Xiajiadian xiàcéng Wenhua夏 家店 下层 文化Xiajiadian Culture, lower stratum ) are named after her. The time the lower layer covers the period from 2000-1500 BC. , The upper layer of 1000-300 BC. The site provides important material for research into the early Bronze Age in northern China.

The Xiajiadian - sites ( Xiajiadian Yizhi qun夏 家店 遗址 群) in Chifeng ( the Neolithic period to the time of the Warring States ) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-30 ) since 2006.
