Uptown

Uptown was the title of a free appearing monthly newspaper for house and villa owners in major German cities. She was the first Germany -wide free newspaper. The title came in September 2008 in the pilot phase, and tested the performance in 51 of the largest cities in Germany with a print run of more than 3,012,000 copies. IVW audited are the requirements of the expenditure Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

At the same time the print edition of Uptown, the Internet edition appeared under www.uptown -online.de.

Uptown is the successor to the title was founded by publisher Dr. Frank Radtke 1994 monthly newspaper The base sheet, which appeared to July 2008 in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

Awards

Already the pilot issue of Uptown was in 2008 at the European Newspaper Design Contest ( European Newspaper Award ) awarded the Award of Excellence, 2009 followed by three more. This ties the newspaper at the level of their previous title The base sheet to which has been awarded for its visual performance several international awards. It won the 2002 red dot design award for Communication Design of the North Rhine -Westphalian Centre for Design and was honored at the European Newspaper Design Contest in the years 2001 to 2010 with a total of 27 Awards of Excellence.

Uptown is divided into four books newspaper.

The title book with topics about society, law and finance follows the newspaper section "Urban Econy " to the trends of the Stadtentwickliung in Germany and internationally, as well as economic and infrastructure issues.

The "Home " part is dominated by style, residential, architectural and garden topics, followed by " life, etc. ," the Uptown magazine.
