The Ural State Technical University (Russian Уральский государственный технический университет - УПИ имени первого Президента России Б.Н.Ельцина ) was a Russian university. It was founded in 1920 in the city of Yekaterinburg. The college employs 180 professors and over 2200 scientific employees serving over 40,000 students. Since 2008, it bore the name of the first Russian president, Boris Yeltsin, who studied here. In 2010, named also after Yeltsin Ural Federal University was founded, in the rose college.
