The State A. M. Gorky University of Ural (Russian Уральский государственный университет имени А.М. Горького, Uralski gossudárstwenny uniwersitét imeni AM Górkowo ) is a university in Yekaterinburg in Russia.

History and Organization

The university was founded in 1920 and received in 1936 the name of the writer Maxim Gorky. It is the second oldest university in the Ural region (after founded 1914 University of Mining Engineering) and is considered one of the most prestigious universities of Russia. It is divided into 14 faculties:
