Uranium One

Uranium One is a uranium and gold producer. The company is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Johannesburg under the symbol SXR. Uranium, the company gains in Canada, South Africa and Australia.

History

Uranium One was created in December 2005 from a merger of Aflease Gold and Uranium Resources of South Africa and the Canadian Southern Cross Resources Inc.

The Company announced on 12 February 2007 that it accepts its competitors UrAsia Energy in a stock swap. This is Uranium One, then as Uranium One Inc., the world's second largest producer of uranium, Cameco, which will have a capitalization on the stock market of about 3.8 billion euros. In an exchange of shares, the shareholders of UrAsia Energy received 0.45 Uranium One shares per UrAsia share, which corresponds to a value of 7.05 Canadian dollars to the closing price on February 9. The approval by the regulatory authorities is still pending.
