Station Description

The station is currently under construction for a lift kit.

The city of Saitama and the JR East co-operate in the suspension lift to the train station and the adjoining railway lines, since the railway lines are still cut the city in two parts and motor vehicles and pedestrians are very limited on the track in their mobility by the railway. In addition, today the trains of the Shonan - Shinjuku line must still be done on a route for freight trains through the station since no more space is available for a useful platform for this line in the station. This resulted in the decision to put the station up and provide them with an additional platform. In addition, the road tunnel is to be expanded in the vicinity of the station under the railway line through it. The entire construction project will take several years to complete.

Track 1 was first set up and is now at about the level of a second floor. Here, the Keihin - Tohoku Line from Tokyo to Shinagawa to Yokohama and the branch to the Negishi Line to Ofuna is dispatched.

The tracks 2-4 are still at street level. On track 2 the trains of the Keihin - Tohoku Line run in the opposite direction, according to Ōmiya.

On track three and four hold the Utsunomiya Line and Takasaki Line.
