Urs Suter

Urs Suter ( born March 4, 1959 in Zurich ) is a former Swiss football player. He played on the goalkeeper position.

Fussballkarierre

Urs Suter played children's and junior football at FC Langnau a / A. In 1976 he moved to Grasshopper Club Zurich, where he played at the Inter- A-Juniors and later in the 2nd team until 1980.

After a welcoming year 1981/82 FC Blue Stars Zurich in the first league, Suter joined the National League A- team FC Wettingen and played 29 times in the 1982/83 season when the team finished 10th.

In 1983, Suter was hired by FC Basel. He won with FC Basel in 1983 and 1986, the Uhrencup. He played in Basel five years. Sporty it was not in the FCB at the end of this time, not very good and descent when the team in 1988, Suter moved to FC Zurich. There he played for four years. During the 1989/90 season he reached with FC Zurich promotion to the National League A.

In season 1992/93 Suter played back at FC Wettingen, but the club was disbanded for financial reasons at the end of season. Urs Suter is married to Jacqueline. They have two daughters. Suter lives in Zurich and is a staff member working in the field in the lighting industry.
