Ursicinus (Bishop of Ravenna)

Ursicinus of Ravenna is a saint of the Catholic Church and was 533-536 Archbishop of Ravenna. His feast day is September 5.

Predecessor Ursicinus ' was Archbishop Ecclesius of Ravenna ( 522-532 ). Maybe Ursicinus him not followed right after ( Holy See is vacant ). Ursicinus was Mandans ( legal authority ) for the Basilica of Saint Apollinare in Classe. This is evidenced by an inscription in the narthex of the church, which provides the church historian Agnellus of Ravenna from the 9th century:

His grave is located in the Basilica of San Vitale, in the chapel of Nazario and Celsus.
