Ursula Bagdasarjanz

Ursula Bagdasarjanz (* 1934 in Winterthur) is a Swiss violinist.

Career

The daughter of the emigrated from Romania Armenian- Swiss -born Samuel Bagdasarjanz and the Austrian- Swiss -born violinist Margrit Bagdasarjanz -Weiss received five years in her mother's first violin lessons. In 1944 she was at the age of 10 years, her first concert ( Beethoven's Romance in F major ). Her teachers were Aida Stucki in Winterthur (1944-1953), Marcel Reynal at the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique in Paris from 1953-1956, where she was awarded the 1956 diploma "premier prix de violon ". She then studied in the years 1957 and 1958 with Sándor Végh. She attended master classes with Joseph Calvet and Max Rostal. When Ursula Bagdasarjanz took lessons with her violin teacher Aida Stucki, this in turn was a student of the violin pedagogue Carl Flesch, so that they thus already became familiar as a child with the scale system of Carl Flesch.

The career of Ursula Bagdasarjanz as a soloist and in chamber music was marked by intense concert activity. She sat up, inter alia, for the Swiss composer Othmar Schoeck one, by his violin works aufführte (including recording of the complete violin sonatas with Gisela Schoeck at the piano, the composer's daughter ).

Concerts 1956-1982

Before Ursula Bagdasarjanz resumed her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris, she won a first prize at the " Concours Bellan ". While studying her first radio recording took place at Radio Paris - Inter, where they later made ​​several other recordings. After completing his studies in Paris, she returned to Switzerland. She has performed in Spain, Germany and Finland, where she was a soloist with the orchestra in the city of Turku. In Switzerland, they acted on a number as a soloist, so with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and the city orchestra Winterthur ( Winterthur, Canton of Glarus and Uster ), with the City Orchestra of St. Gallen, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana and the city orchestras Aarau, Solothurn and Olten. Violin recital evenings and they were abroad and in Switzerland. Radio recordings were made in Zurich, Lugano, Paris and Berlin. Ursula Bagdasarjanz appeared in a TV documentary of ZDF and was a jury member of the Tonhalle Zurich competition. She was invited in July 2001, 2002 and 2004, to Romania, to give in Targu Mures master classes for violin. She was also a member of the jury in Constantin Silvestri musician competition. Ursula Bagdasarjanz gave an interview to Radio Bucureşti.
