Ursula Helmhold

Ursula Helmhold ( born April 26, 1956 in Recklinghausen ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens ) and Member of Parliament of Lower Saxony. She is married and has two children.

Education and work

After graduation in Rinteln Helmhold trained as a nurse in Hamburg and Hanover. She then studied in Braunschweig German, biology and politics to become a teacher for primary and secondary schools. Since 1985 she has worked as a teacher in a technical school for nursing care. She made a training for Gerontotherapeutin and Qualitätsauditorin and was deputy headmistress since 1989. She is also a freelance training and Weiterbilderin and quality consultant in elderly care facilities.

Policy

In 1985, Ursula Helmhold became a member of the Alliance 90/The Greens. Her political career began when she was elected to the City Council Rinteln 1986. This office she held until 1996. In 2001, she was again councilor, and has remained so until now.

In February 2003, she moved, as constituency candidate for the constituency 45 ( Schaumburg ) ( WK Today, 37, etc.) in the state parliament. In the parliamentary group was women and social policy spokesperson. As the Group Executive Board was elected on 15 March 2007, was appointed to Deputy Group Chairman and Managing Director parliamentary. She was the top candidate of the Greens in the state election in 2008. 's Green Party the 16th electoral term, she was again first Group vice-president and parliamentary Managing Director, but did not stand again at the regular proper fraction board elections in 2010. She is the spokesperson for social, health and media. She has not announced to compete in the regional elections again in 2013.
