US Cognac
The Union Sportive Cognaçaise, short U.S. Cognac is an association founded on December 2, 1899 French rugby union club from Cognac. The club currently plays in the highest amateur league, the Fédérale 1, but was able to celebrate some success in the 1950s and 1960s. 1965 you won the Challenge Yves du Manoir in 1954 and lost to the championship final against FC Grenoble with 3:5.
1906/ 07 reached U.S. Cognac as a finalist of the regional group Loire first time the quarter-finals of the French Championship. After the club had repeatedly reached the regional qualifying group stage of the championship in the 20s, 40s and 50s, the club the semi-finals and the final in 1954 reached 1953 for the championship. In the following years the club in the regional Qualipahse played mostly successful, but rarely survived the first knockout round of the championship. The last time the club was top notch during the 1992/93 season.
