US Ouagadougou

U.S. Ouagadougou ( Union sportive de Ouagadougou ) is a football club based in Ouagadougou, the capital of the West African country of Burkina Faso.

The playing in the Red and White Club was founded in July, 1961 by Jean -Pierre Yaméogo and has so far twice the national championship (1967, 1983) and even the cup competition (2005) win. USO has its roots in Larlé district.

As Cup Winners USO in 2006 took part in the CAF Confederation Cup, but retired in the first round against ES Zarzis (Tunisia ) from. In the cup final 2007, the team Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso was defeated 1-2.

On 27 September 2008, the former national player Clément Yaméogo was elected as the new President of the Executive Bureau. He succeeds Félix Tiemtarboum.
