US Pro Squash Series
The U.S. Pro Squash Series is a series of irregular number of tournaments the PSA World Tour, which will be held under the ongoing season in the United States.
The U.S. Pro Squash Series 2013 was launched by the PSA and the American Association of U.S. squash into being to give the smaller the U.S. tournaments better marketing opportunities. For tournament series includes all PSA tournaments in the categories Challenger and International on U.S. soil. The U.S. Open is thus not part of the tournament series. Depending on the performance in the tournaments, players receive a certain score. At the end of the season, the three players are rewarded with the highest accumulated score with an additional prize money. The total is $ 10,000, receives from the winner $ 5,000, second place $ 3,000 and third place $ 2,000.
The first winner in 2013 was the American Julian Illingworth. In the 2013 season a total of 16 tournaments were part of the U.S. Pro Squash Series. It succeeded any player to win more than one of these tournaments.
Points system
Players must participate in at least four tournaments in the U.S. Pro Squash Series to be considered for a top 3 place in the overall standings of the series.
