US Stade Tamponnaise

U.S. Stade Tamponnaise is a football club from Le Tampon in Réunion, a French island in the Indian Ocean. With eight league titles Stade Tamponnaise is one of the most successful clubs of the island.

History

The association was created in 1982 through a merger of S / S Tamponnaise (founded in 1922) and Stade Tamponnais (founded in 1971). In 1991, the first time to celebrate winning the championship of Reunion, the same year the club also won the Cup of Reunion. Further championships followed in 1992, 1999. Since 2003 could Stade Tamponnaise win five titles in a row. In 1994, the club held its first meeting at an international level.
