USA Cup

The USA Cup is a football tournament for children, which takes place every summer in Blaine, Minnesota. With regard to the number of participants it is advertised as the largest soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere.

The tournament was first held in 1985 by the Sons of Norway. Performed it was modeled after the Norway Cup, the long time the world's largest youth football tournament. In the first year, 69 teams participated in the tournament, eleven of them came from abroad. First time in 1992, the number of 500 participating teams has been reached. In 2007, over 1,000 teams with some 16,000 participants in the U.S. Cup.

Participation is open to boys and girls aged 9-19 years. The matches will be played at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
