Ushiku (Japanese牛 久 市, - shi) is a city in Japan in Ibaraki Prefecture.
History
Ushiku received its town charter on June 1, 1986.

In Ushiku is Ushiku Daibutsu, one of the highest Buddha statues in the world.
Traffic
From the city of National Road 6 leads to Tōkyō and Sendai, the city is also connected to the national road 408. By train you can take the JR Joban Line to Tōkyō and Sendai.
