The Aeropuerto Internacional de Ushuaia Malvinas Argentinas ( IATA: USH, ICAO code: SAWH ) is the international airport of the city of Ushuaia in the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego.

General

The airport was built in 1995 on a man made island and is one of the southernmost international airport in the world. It has a start and runway, which is for large or long-haul aircraft long enough.

The airport is mainly used by the airlines Aerolíneas Argentinas, Lineas Aéreas del Estado and LAN Airlines.

The airport sees itself as the gateway to Patagonia, Antarctica and to the Islas Malvinas ( Falkland Islands). Not least because of the atmosphere with wooden furniture interior design, reminiscent of a chalet, one of the airport to popular airports in the world and is in a 2011 survey 5th place
