USS Illinois (BB-65)

The USS Illinois was a battleship of the Iowa class with the ID BB -65, whose construction was never completed.

The keel was laid on the Illinois January 15, 1945 at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, and the construction of the ship was until August 12, 1945, when the freeze was imposed, progressed to a production level of 22%.

In August 1948, the hull was sold and subsequently scrapped.
