USS Kingfisher (MHC-56)

The USS Kingfisher (MHC -56 ) is a ship of the U.S. Navy Osprey - class. The ship was laid down on 12 February 1993 in Kiel and put into service on 26 October 1996. Since 1 July 1997, the ship was part of the Naval Reserve Force and was used for the training of reservists. On 1 December 2007, the ship was taken as one of the four last of his class out of service. In September 2010, the Senate approved the sale of Kingfisher along with the Cormorant to the Indian Navy.
