USS Mason

Three ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Mason, the first by John Y. Mason, the second after Ensign Newton Henry Mason, the third in honor of the achievements of the second:

  • USS Mason (DD -191 ) Destroyer of the Clemson class, in service 1920-1940
  • USS Mason (DE- 529), destroyer escort of the Evarts class, in service 1944-1945
  • USS Mason ( DDG 87), destroyer of the Arleigh Burke-class, in service since 2003
  • Ship name of the United States Navy
