USS Randolph (CV-15)

The U.S. aircraft carrier USS Randolph (CV -15) was an aircraft carrier of the Essex class. He was in service from 1944 to 1969 and was scrapped in 1975.

History

The ship was taken as the seventh aircraft carrier of the Essex class in service on October 9, 1944.

On February 13, 1969, the ship was decommissioned and assigned to the reserve. The final decommissioning on June 1, 1973. In 1975 the ship was scrapped.
