Ustad

Ustadh (Arabic أستاذ, Ustad DMG ) is an honorary title that is used since the early Islamic period for people who know their trade very well. The term dates back to the Middle Persian word back awestād. In the New Persian form he is Ustad ( استاد ) or shortened USTA ( استا ).
