Uster Technologies AG, headquartered in Uster is an internationally active Swiss manufacturer of electronic measuring and quality assurance systems for the textile industry. She went in 2003 through a buyout from the Zellweger Luwa forth. Uster Technologies employs 550 people and generated 2009 sales of 101 million Swiss francs. The company is listed on the Swiss Exchange SIX Swiss Exchange.

The company provides systems and services for quality assurance, which are used in the manufacture and processing of raw textile fibers such as cotton, wool or synthetic yarns to finished fabric.

History

Uster Technologies Ltd was founded in 2003 following the acquisition of the company Zellweger Uster Division of Zellweger Luwa the Fund represented by management, as well as by two private equity firms. This corporate division was created in 1944 as the company founded in 1875, went into the textile industry. In October 2007 the company was taken public through an IPO.
