The company Hamilton Sundstrand is a U.S. company and is part of United Technologies Corporation and was formed in 1999 through a merger of Hamilton Standard and Sundstrand Corporation.

The focus of Hamilton Sundstrand is the manufacture of various components for the operation of aircraft. There are electric generators, manufactured as well as the digital controller for modern engines. Hamilton Sundstrand also provides the space suits to NASA. The integration of various systems for complete networking within an aircraft provides Hamilton Sundstrand as a system supplier. This is Hamilton Sundstrand in many airplanes present with various systems, among other things, include Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer to customers.

In 2002, it was announced that Hamilton would get involved as a development partner of the Cargo Lifter AG and would thereby take care of the system for electrical power generation.
