Ute Enzenauer

Ute Enzenauer ( born September 1, 1964 in Home Fries ) is a former German cyclist and World Champion.

With 16 years Ute Enzenauer was surprising at the UCI Road World Championships 1981 in Prague World Champion and so went the youngest world champion of all time in the cycling history. As the youngest starter she was also launched with a special permit. In the same year she was elected "Junior Sportswoman of the Year ".

In 1986 and 1987 she was German road champion and finished third in each of the Grande Boucle Féminine (1987 ) and the Route de France Féminine (1987). At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, she took eighth place in the road race. They also drove race on the track.

1987, with only 23 years, Ute Enzenauer resigned from active cycling because she was nervous not cope with the demands of competitive sports. She was trained as a pharmaceutical commercial assistant, now lives in Ludwigshafen and works in the local hospital.
