Útěchov (Svitavy District)

Útěchov ( German Uttigsdorf ) is a municipality in Okres Svitavy, about two kilometers southwest of Moravian Třebová. The village has 231 inhabitants.

History

The village belonged in documents since 1365 for Good Moravskotřebova. The municipal area comprised 545 acres. Uttigsdorf was in the German-speaking island Schönhengstgau. Until the expulsion of 1945/46, the village was inhabited exclusively by Germans.
