Útěchovice

Útěchovice until 1919 Velké Outěchovice, ( German United Autiechowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-west of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Útěchovice is located at a right tributary of the Bořetický creek in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the north lies the forest Račín, in the north- west rises the Hurka (554 m).

Neighboring towns are Bořetice and Mašovice in the north, Milotičky in the northeast, Bácovice in the east, and Bitětice Pejškov to the southeast, and Útěchovičky Zahrádka in the southwest and Přáslavice and Brezina in the northwest.

History

The first mention of belonging to the reign Řečice village took place in 1300. During the division of the rule, the village was 1554 Pelhřimov. At the time of replacement of patrimonial Útěchovice Vilém Pistorius was on Hořepník. 1850 he produced the Velké Outěchovice, 1919 changed its name to Útěchovice. In 1964 the incorporation of Mašovice 1980 were still Útěchovičky and Litohošť. On 1 January 1989, the village was connected to Hořepník and since 24 November 1990, it has once again independently.
