Uterosacral ligament

The ligament sacrouterinum is a band ( ligament ), belongs to the ligaments of the uterus (womb) and is part of the parametrium.

The band is a smooth muscle interspersed, fiber- rich Bindegewebszug that connects the cervix to the sacrum ( os sacrum ). It keeps the uterus from behind in its position.
