Útgarðar

Utgard ( Old-norse Útgarðr "outside world" ) is in Norse mythology an area outside of humans ( Midgard) and gods ( Asgard ) inhabited worlds. It is a place of residence for giants and trolls. After the Norse cosmology it lies to the east. The ruler of this world is the giant Utgardloki. Tell report that the Giants were banished to Utgard and therefore can not return to Midgard.
