Uto [ ʉ ː tø ː ] is an island at the edge of the archipelago area off the coast of Finland. It belongs administratively to the city of Parga (until 2008 to Korpo ) and is 40 km south of the main island of Korpo and 90 km west of Hanko. Uto has been inhabited since 1540. Today, the island is inhabited all year around 40 people. It is the southernmost settlement in Finland.

On Uto is a stronghold of the Finnish army. By 2005 conscripts were trained on the island, today it acts only as a guard. The Lighthouse of Uto is the oldest operating lighthouse in Finland. He goes back to a building from the year 1814.

The sinking of the Baltic ferry Estonia in 1994, with 852 deaths the heaviest Shipwreck of European post-war history, occurred 35 km southeast of Uto. The rescue operations were coordinated by the Finnish Navy from the island.
