The Utsunomiya Station (Japanese宇 都 宫 駅, Utsunomiya -eki ) is located in Utsunomiya in Tochigi Prefecture. The railway station is an important railway junction.

History

On July 16, 1885, the station of the first private railway company in Japan, Nippon tetsudō opened. In the year of inception, it was also the first Ekiben, one sold in a box of food for the journey, sold in Japan. This then quickly spread all over the country.
