The UVMV 1100 GT or 1100 GT Škoda was a Czechoslovakian sports car concept. The engine came from Škoda.

History

The basis for this concept vehicle, the Saab Sonett II In 1962, the Swedish car manufacturer Saab opened in the former Czechoslovakia its first representative, she was operated by the Czech racer Zdenek Treybal. He sold a 1968 Saab Sonett II to the AZNP Mladá Boleslav. Since the late 1960s, small sports cars were very popular, was established in 1970 in collaboration with the Ústav per Výzkum motorových vozidel ( UVMV, German Institute for Automotive Research) in Prague, today TÜV SÜD Auto CZ sro, based on this Saab model, a sports car concept developed. The exterior was completely based on the Saab Sonett II, only the front part was inspired by the Ferrari Dino. The vehicle was in July 1970 at the exhibition - presented in Prague the public " person and vehicle IEMA 70 ". Although almost ready for production, was no mass production.
