Uwe Bein ( born September 26, 1960 in Lengers ) is a former German footballer and World Champion in 1990.

Although he never reached very high public fame because of its more conservative nature, he applies both among fans as well as by experts as one of the technically best midfielder of the German football history. For the opponents, especially his so-called deadly pass was feared. Even today you can hear some Eintracht Frankfurt fans say " The pass was leg " when a player in a similar manner cancel out the opponent's defense with only one pass.

Career

Leg first clubs were the TSV Lengers and VfB herring, his professional career began in 1978 at Kickers Offenbach. From 1984 to 1987 he played for the 1st FC Cologne from 1987 to 1989, Hamburger SV and 1989 to 1994 for Eintracht Frankfurt. He played a total of 300 Bundesliga matches and scored 91 goals.
