Uwe Ehlers

Uwe Ehlers ( born March 8, 1975 in Rostock ) is a German football player.

The defender started his professional career in 1993 at FC Hansa Rostock. He played two years in the second Bundesliga and five years in the Bundesliga. In 116 league games, scoring five goals for the Hanseatic League. In 1999, he transferred to TSV 1860 München. Here he played 42 first division matches. In the summer of 2003 he moved to FC Augsburg. There, he played in 40 games and a half years and scored two goals. From January 2005 until the summer of 2007 was Ehlers at FC Erzgebirge Aue under contract. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to second division promoted VfL Osnabrück. After only five games in two years and the relegation to the third tier Ehlers finally returned in 2009 to his homeland to finish his career as a senior executive players the second team of FC Hansa Rostock to assist in the Regionalliga Nord.
