Uwe Mund (rower)

Uwe Mund ( born June 26, 1962 in Roßla ) was a rower from the German Democratic Republic. In 1982 he succeeded in the quadruple sculls victory at the World Championships.

1980 won Uwe mouth at the Junior World Championships in Hazewinkel in One.

Uwe mouth from SC Magdeburg won in 1981 the GDR championships in one, at the World Championships in Munich but started Rüdiger Reiche for the GDR. 1982 occurred in the mouth sculls together with Martin Winterkorn, Uwe Heppner and Karl -Heinz Bussert on, with whom he won after the victory in the GDR Championships and at the World Championships in Lucerne. In 1983, Uwe mouth again win in the GDR championships in one, at the World Championships in Duisburg, he finished second behind Peter -Michael Kolbe of the Federal Republic of Germany. 1985 won mouth for the third time the DDR titles in one, at the World Rowing Championships in Hazewinkel, he reached the fifth place. Two other East German championship titles won Uwe mouth in the double sculls in 1988 and 1989. At the 1988 Olympics he won together with Uwe Heppner in fifth in the double sculls.
