Uwe Scharen

Uwe droves ( born August 9, 1945 in Rockenau ) is a German lawyer and was Chief Judge of the Federal Court.

Following his legal education crowds began his career in 1974 in the higher judicial service of the State of North Rhine -Westphalia. There, he worked on probation at the Dusseldorf Regional Court as a judge, where he was in 1978 appointed as a judge at the district court. This was followed, in 1984, the appointment flocking to the judge at the High Court Dusseldorf, where he was assigned to a civil court for patent matters and competition law. 1995 included a promotion to Chief Judge of this Court.

Just one year later droves was appointed judge of the Federal Court, where he was assigned to the Tenth Civil Senate, which he was Deputy Chairman since 2004. This Senate is concerned primarily with patent and public procurement law.

April 1, 2009 crowds was eventually transferred by the Federal President on the proposal of the Presidium of the Bundesgerichtshof, the Presidency in this Senate. Since 1 September 2010 he is retired.
