V.I.P. (Hungarian band)

V.I.P. was a Hungarian boy band that existed from 1997 to 2001. The members were the singers Alex Józsa, Gergo Racz, Imre Rakonczai and Viktor Rakonczai.

The group beat out 18 other candidates at the Hungarian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 1997 and won with the pop song Miert kell, elmenj Hogy? (English: Why do you have to go? ). When Contest in Dublin then the band reached the title in 12th place

Until its dissolution, the band released four albums and a best-of compilation. The singer then changed to other groups and remained musically active.
