V.Group Limited, with his daughter V.Ships based in St Johns on the Isle of Man, by his own admission is the world's largest provider of ship management services. The privately run group bereederte in 2008 a fleet of over 1,000 vessels. Worldwide presence in 70 offices with 1,600 employees, the company currently employs over 24,000 people on board of ships.

History

Already in 1984, summed up the Russian-born and operating from Monaco Reeder Boris Vlasov numerous together both by himself and previously founded by his father Alexandre Vlasov nautical companies under a parent group called V.Group. The Group's most internationally famous and most significant companies was Sitmar Lines, the global cruise industry and also the passenger shipbuilding primary feature 1938-1988.

After the death of Boris Vlasov in 1988, the heirs belonging to the Roman family Lefebvre, the group led by the names V.Group or V.Ships. They developed it into a global company in the field of services to the shipping industry. In July 2011, the Group of OMERS Private Equity, the private equity subsidiary of a Canadian pension fund, was acquired.

Ship Management & Manpower Services

V.Ships based in Monaco is a provider of marine services to more than 1,000 ships. These include the ship management of tankers, container ships and research vessels through worldwide offices.

  • By V.Ships Leisure with offices in Monaco, Miami, Singapore and Southampton V.Ships covers the leisure sector and provides integrated deck and engine management and hospitality services for cruise ships, ferries, yachts and other passenger ships. In addition, consulting services for the renovation and refurbishment of cruise ships.
  • The daughter of V. Hospitality offers Catering Services for the cruise, ferry and mega yacht industry. The services are divided into hotel management, staff recruitment and development, catering and consulting.
  • Are involved through the joint venture V.Delta with offices in Monaco and Raisio where V.Ships and Finnish Delta Marin Group of 50 percent each, a range of services for the conversion of a ship is offered.

  • Marlins is a provider of English language instruction and computer-based training programs that cover all aspects of seamanship tasks.
  • SeaSolve Marine Logistics is dedicated to the procurement and delivery of all required in shipping spare parts in consideration of special emergency situations and ship movements. Furthermore V.Ships with SeaSupplier to Marcas ( Marine Contracting Association Limited ) an interest group of maritime companies for the purpose of contract negotiations and competitive in order to obtain prices for consumables such as lubricants, chemicals, gases, welding and cooling agents, dyes for underwater and dry coatings involved, fuel and spare parts, communication services, and departure of crews, weather and routing tables, and drug and alcohol testing.
