V849 Ophiuchi ( V849 Oph short ) is a cataclysmic variables in the constellation Ophiuchus, the Nova as called Nova Ophiuchi 1919 shone in 1919, while a maximum apparent brightness of 7.5 mag reached.

The Nova was discovered during a systematic search of the Harvard College Observatory by Johanna CS Mackie in photographs. Your earliest track could be traced back to a photographic plate of 20 August 1919 on which they have a brightness of 9.4 may had. Its maximum brightness reached the Nova on 13 September of the same year like with 7.5. The magnitude then fell in October to 9.5 like to again achieve a comparable brightness maximum as mid-September, on 5 November.
