Vaccine injury
A vaccine damage is " the health and economic consequence of going beyond the usual extent of a vaccine reaction damage to health by the vaccination; a vaccine damage is also present when vaccinated with replicable pathogens and other than the vaccinated person has been harmed. " (§ 2 Infection Protection Act, in force since 1 January 2001).
The term was first defined by law in 1961 in the Federal Communicable Diseases Act ( BSeuchG ) of 1961.
