Vače

Vače (German Watsch ) is a Slovenian town north-east of Ljubljana with a burial ground of the 9th to 4th century BC, which was occupied by the Late Bronze Age urn field culture and the Iron Age Hallstatt and La Tène culture. There were also imported goods from the Villanovan and Etruscan culture.

Major findings are a Hallstatt bronze metal bucket ( Situla Vače ) and a belt plate ( belt plate of Vače ) from the same era, both with scenic views of the people and figures. These illustrations are typical of the Eastern Hallstatt Circle.
