Vaggeryd Municipality

Vaggeryds is a municipality (in Swedish: kommun ) in the Swedish Jönköping County Province and the historical province of Småland. The municipality has two main towns Vaggeryds and Skillingaryd.

Other notable places are Åker, Bondstorp, Byarum, Hok and Klevshult. The municipality is situated approximately 30 kilometers south of Jönköping. Passing through the municipality, the European Route 4 and the railway line Halmstad - Nässjö.

Geography

The municipality is located in the southern Swedish highlands and the municipal area is mainly covered by forests. The forestry use is complicated by numerous wetlands. In the south of the village there is the northern foothills of the National Park Store Mosse.

Economy

Vaggeryds is a strong industry community. Especially Skillingaryd and Vaggeryds home to numerous industrial companies.
