Vaibhavi Merchant

Vaibhavi Merchant ( born December 17, 1975) is a Bollywood dance choreographer. She is the granddaughter of Hiralal Merchant.

Career

She began her career with the support of her uncle Chinni Prakash and made ​​her debut as an actress in Snehapoorvam Anna, but returned to its roots as a choreographer.

Her first solo work was the choreography for the song " Dhol Baaje " Hum Dil De for the film Chuke Sanam. She won a National Film Award for her work.

After a short break from the film industry they had in 2001 with the song " O Ri Chhori " in the Oscar nominated film Lagaan a successful comeback.

She was also a choreographer in excellent films such as Devdas, Baghban, Fida, Dhoom and Veer Zaara. She also choreographed the Australian musical The Merchants of Bollywood, written by Toby Gough about her family, and " Kajra Re" from Bunty Aur Babli, one of the most popular songs of the year 2005. For the choreography, she won several awards.

Apart from David Dhawan and Isha Koppikar she was on the jury of " Nach Baliye 3".
