Väisälä (crater)

Väisälä is a small impact crater on the moon northwestern front. It lies north of the large crater Aristarchus rays, between the side craters Aristarchus Aristarchus B and Z, south of the small crater Toscanelli. It is cup-shaped and slightly eroded.
The crater was officially named in 1973 by the IAU astronomer Yrjö Väisälä after the Finnish.
