Vaisala is a Finnish company that develops products and services for environmental and industrial measurement technology, manufactures, and markets.

The main customer groups are national meteorological services to aviation authorities, armed forces and road transport and rail authorities.

Vaisala employs over 1000 people and has a turnover of 220.8 million euros (2006) 12 percent increase over the previous year. 97 percent of net sales were generated outside Finland.

The parent company Vaisala Oyj, headquartered in Vantaa, Finland, is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The Vaisala Group has offices and operations in Finland, North America, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Sweden, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.
