Val-de-Reuil

Val -de- Reuil is a commune with 13,233 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Eure in the Haute-Normandie region. It belongs to the arrondissement Les Andelys and is the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Val -de- Reuil. The inhabitants are called Rolivalois.

Geography

Val -de- Reuil is located just west of the Seine, south of the confluence of the River Eure to the east of the Great Forest Forêt domaniale de Bord - Louviers (also Forêt de Louviers or Forêt de Bord called ).

History

The church was built in the 1970s resulted in the creation of the villes nouvelles. After the town of Le Vaudreuil, the settlement was first mentioned as Le Vaudrieul -Ville Nouvelle (1981). Its present name from the congregation - to avoid confusion - 1983.

The municipality of Val -de- Reuil was formed in 1981 from parts of Le Vaudreuil, Incarville, Porte- Joie, Poses, Saint- Étienne- du- Vauvray, Saint -Pierre- du- Vauvray and Tournedos- sur -Seine.
