Vala Flosadóttir

Vala Flosadóttir ( born February 16, 1978 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic pole vaulter.

Vala Flosadóttir lived until the age of nine in Reykjavík. Then she moved with her ​​family to Bíldudalur in the West Fjords. She was in the hall in 1996 European Champion in the pole vault, third in the 1998 European Indoor Championships and 1999 in the Second World Indoor Championships.

At the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000, she won the bronze medal in the pole vault behind Stacy Dragila (USA) and Tatiana Grigorieva (AUS).
