Valcheta

Valcheta is the capital of the department Valcheta in the province of Río Negro in southern Argentina. You can reach the place from the east and west on the Ruta Nacional 23 and the railroad SEFEPA and from the north on the Ruta Provincial 4

Geography

Valcheta is surrounded by the Patagonian plateau in a valley that is drained by the Arroyo Valcheta. The valley is a fertile, favored by climate oasis with varied vegetation from forest to the orchard and Lucerne fields.

History
