The Vale Park is a football stadium in the English town of Burslem, Stoke -on-Trent. It is the home of the football team Port Vale. The stadium was opened in 1950 and has a capacity of 18,947 seats.

History

At the opening of which was inaugurated on August 24, 1950 Sports Venue met Port Vale and Newport County AFC each other. 30 042 spectators, the home side managed a 1-0 victory over Newport County. The largest number of spectators witnessed the Vale Park on 20 February 1960, when 49 768 spectators to the FA Cup match against Aston Villa were present. Between 2006 and 2009 an average of about 5,000 spectators attended the home games of Port Vale.

The stadium was also occasionally used for rock concerts. Thus came into effect on August 1, 1981 Ozzy Osbourne on in Vale Park.
